The Palermo Fire Department was in need of a new building to house their fire repeater which was being eaten by carpenter ants. So with a group of hams and a call to build a building we could also use for our system we started construction. We had to have it done by a certain time as the only access was through a blueberry field. With donations and lots of ham help the project took shape in no time. Many thanks to those who gave their time and effort and to those who donated time and money.
